The oldest Falcon 9 booster in SpaceX’s operational rocket fleet sent 60 more Starlink internet satellites into space Tuesday with a launch from historic pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
With the 60 satellites launched Tuesday, SpaceX has sent 1,565 Starlink spacecraft into orbit to beam broadband signals around the world, nearly nine times as many satellites in any other company’s constellation.

(Shutterstock) (TNS) The Federal Communications Commission will start accepting applications on May 12 for its program to help low-income families pay for internet service during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program will provide up to $50 a month to eligible households to pay for broadband internet service. The assistance is up to $75 a month for households on tribal lands.
It also will provide a one-time discount of up to $100 on a computer or tablet for eligible households.

Senators Want Audit Of FCC Emergency Broadband Program

Senators John Thune, R-S.D., and Roger Wicker, R-Miss., asked the U.S. Government Accountability Office on Thursday to launch a review of the Emergency Broadband Benefit program to ensure its success. The goals of the EBB program are laudable, but as responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars, it s imperative of Congress and GAO to conduct proper oversight, the senators wrote. The FCC quickly adopted rules.
