It is understood that some company owners and advisers have been grumbling about the strictness of the current rules. Their argument is that the rules ought to be relooked at considering that the current climate needs more merger and acquisition (M&A) activities to build stronger companies to emerge from the Covid-19 doldrums.

JEMPOL: The starting salaries for graduates entering the job market are expected to be higher by the next three or four months with the country’s economy seen recovering, says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
He said the government was aware that the salaries received by new graduates last year were low and attributed the situation to the Covid-19 pandemic, which adversely affected the economic growth in the country, and globally.
“Last year, we experienced the worst economic recession in history, so job opportunities were low and, of course, the graduates were willing to receive lower salaries.

KUALA LUMPUR, 1 April 2021: FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) welcomes the appointment of Dato Dzulkifli Abd Wahab as the Non-Independent and Non-Executive Chairman of FGV Holdings Berhad effective 1 April 2021.
Dato Dzulkifli, 65, has 35 years of experience in the plantation field, where he began his career with Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) in 1977. He was appointed as the Director General (DG) of FELDA in 2009 where he held the position for three years until 2012.
