It is not yet known when the facility will receive those vaccines.
CMC Chief Nursing Officer Douglas James said that the medical center has been working closely with the Kentucky Department of Public Health, Kentucky Hospital Association and regional coalition partners in the process to get vaccines for some time.
âMuch of the information that we have been getting has been a little generic in nature, where they tell you that âWeâre expecting this to happenâ or âWe anticipate this happening on this dateâ or whatever, but nothing specific,â he said.
âWe had a call earlier this week where they gave us a little more specifics on it. What it looks like at this point â unless something changes â is that Caldwell Medical Center will be receiving vaccine next week.â

School districts and private schools are planning for a massive statewide COVID-19 vaccination effort of teachers and other school staff. Districts have been asked to submit a roster to the Kentucky Department of Public Health by the end of the month of employees to be vaccinated. We do have a light at the end of the tunnel, Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) superintendent Marty Pollio said during a Tuesday evening Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBE) meeting. We don t know where that light is yet. It will all depend upon the amount of doses of vaccine that we get in, and how quickly we can get it to our employees.
