Cases increased from 12,393 on Tuesday February 9th to 12,419 on Wednesday February 10th and 297 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.

The Health Unit says 6 cases are outbreak-related, 8 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 2 cases are community acquired, and 10 cases are still being investigated by the Health Unit’s nursing staff.
Resolved Cases
That’s an increase of 40 resolved cases today.
Deaths
The Health Unit announced three additional deaths from COVID-19 today bringing the local death toll to 348.

After nearly two months of lockdown, the region s top public health doctor says Windsor-Essex meets the criteria for the less stringent red zone of restrictions, a change that could come as early as next week.
But Dr. Wajid Ahmed stressed that even though the COVID-19 situation is improving, there is still a global pandemic and the threat hasn t gone away.
