Date Time Police charge man with going armed, Edmonton Police have charged a man after he allegedly threatened a group of people with an axe in Edmonton, before following them to a nearby service station. Officers were called to the Bruce Highway service station around 12.15am (Saturday morning) after the man allegedly attempted to gain entry to the store still armed with the axe. He left the scene a short time later and was arrested by police near the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Thomson Road. No one was physically injured in the incident. A 30-year-old Parramatta Park man was charged with one count each of going armed so as to cause fear, wilful damage, attempted enter premises with intent, use a carriage service to make a threat, burglary and stealing.

Dalassa Rittia Diane Pau was placed in a room at the Cairns Pacific International hotel in northern Queensland on Friday after she returned from a trip to Covid-addled Sydney.  Police noticed she was missing on Monday afternoon, and later found her at her mother s apartment. The 22-year-old appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning and pleaded guilty to fail to comply with Covid-19 public health direction, unregulated high risk activities and wilful damage.
