DPWH completes P28-M quarantine facility at Cagayan Valley Medical Center

Published February 26, 2021, 1:43 PM TUGUEGARAO CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) has completed the construction of a quarantine facility at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) in Barangay Carig Sur here. (DPWH Region 2 / MANILA BULLETIN) The DPWH said the single-story container van quarantine facility has 32 beds, a swabbing booth, a two-room nurse station, and  has separate quarters for male and female utility workers and medical frontline personnel. Wilson Valdez, DPWH Region 2 spokesperson, said the quarantine facility was built for P28 million under the General Appropriations Act of 2020.

ECQ recommended in Tabuk City due to rising number of COVID-19 cases

Estrañero said the ECQ will be for a 14-day period to start on Sunday, January 24, or early morning Monday, January 25, to give time to inform the other municipalities of the lockdown. He said, the recommendation of the CIATF will be forwarded today to the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force for their evaluation, and if it is approved, it will then be forwarded to Regional InterAgency Task Force for the approval of implementation. 

Two newborn babies die of COVID-19 in Baguio, Apayao

Published December 31, 2020, 10:59 AM BAGUIO CITY – The Department of Health (DOH) Cordillera reported on Wednesday, December 30, the death of two newborn babies due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) – one in Baguio City and one in Apayao province. A newborn female reportedly died on December 29 in Baguio City due to Meconium Aspiration Syndrome, Asphyxia, Mild confirmed on COVID-19. The City Health Service Office (CHSO) in the city also recorded 20 new cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 272.
