A Charlotte doctor on Monday became the first person in North Carolina to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, according to Atrium Health. In a video posted to Twitter, the hospital system s Medical Director of Infection Prevention, Dr. Katie Passaretti, said she was the first to get the shot. I couldn t be more excited. I feel perfectly fine. I ve had no issues with the vaccine, Passaretti said in the video.
