Everton have released a statement voicing their frustration towards the decision to postpone their meeting with Manchester City on Monday evening.
The Premier League decided to postpone the game late on Monday after the City squad were hit with a fresh batch of positive COVID-19 cases, adding to the positive tests from Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus last week.

The Premier League confirmed on Tuesday that 18 players and staff have tested positive for coronavirus, the highest number since weekly testing began.
Manchester City s clash at Everton was postponed on Monday after an outbreak of multiple positive cases at City. The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 21 December and Sunday 27 December, 1,479 players and club staff were tested for Covid-19, the league said in a statement. Of these, there were 18 new positive tests. Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate for a period of 10 days.

The Blues were next scheduled to play on January 3, when they host Man City in the day s 4.30pm kick-off.
Following that, Frank Lampard s men had a week off before their FA Cup third-round run-out against League Two side Morecambe on January 10.
And now Chelsea now be forced to wait until January 15 for their next game if conditions at Man City and Morecambe don t improve.
The Blues make the short trip to local rivals Fulham for that Friday night game.
