Cambridgeshire Police revealed tonight that the murdered woman was Wendy Cole, 70, of Oak Tree Close, March. She died at her home in the early hours of Monday as a result of a stab wound. Her son, Jonathon Cole, 35, of Oaktree Close, March, appeared at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today (May 12) charged with murder. He has been remanded to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (14 May).

Huntingdon drug dealer jailed for more than two years

Huntingdon drug dealer Fabio Vargas has been jailed for more than two years. - Credit: Cambs Police A Huntingdon man who was linked to drug dealing from messages on his mobile phone has been jailed for more than two years.  Officers from the Huntingdon neighbourhood team carried out a drugs warrant at Fabio Vargas’ home at The Whaddons on March 19 when they seized crack cocaine and heroin.  A mobile phone was also seized with numerous messages linking him to drug dealing.  The 31-year-old was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.  At Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (May 7) Vargas was sentenced to two years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to the two offences. 

Knife Crime: Faisal Khan Charged for Stabbing Boy, 9, in Face and Head

10 May 2021 A 24-year-old man charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 9-year-old boy in the face and head on the street in Peterborough, England, has been named as Faisal Khan. Khan, of Almond Road, Dogsthorpe, was also charged with possession of a knife in a public place although he remains innocent of all charges unless and until he is proven guilty in a court of law. Described as a “Peterborough man” by the BBC, Khan was charged after Cambridgeshire Constabulary launched an appeal for information about a suspect they described as “an Asian man who was tall, skinny, scruffy in appearance with black short-to-medium length messy hair and… wearing black jogging bottoms and a big coat.”
