The family of a Haverhill man who died at the scene of a car crash in Cambridge yesterday have paid tribute to the loving father .
Vasile Chiorean, known to many as Cristian, died on Tuesday, February 2, in a collision with a lorry on the A505 at Melbourn in Cambridgeshire at around 3.45am.
The 48-year-old lived in Old Rope Walk in Haverhill and has been described as a loving father, husband and son with an infectious smile and laugh .
A tribute from his family said: There wasn’t a room that he couldn’t cheer up and I don’t think anyone can say they’ve had a bad first impression of him.

Paramedics arrived to check the child’s welfare, but she was uninjured.
When police investigated, Kidd’s previous offending was revealed, along with his failure to notify officers about his change of address or tell his girlfriend about his past.
It also materialised he had the opportunity for unsupervised access to the child.
Kidd, of Weddell Road, Haverhill, pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to comply with notification requirements of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order and assault by beating.
On Friday (January 29) at Cambridge Crown Court he was jailed for 18 months.
DC Eleanor Jaggard said: “Kidd saw red and completely lost his temper. His treatment of the young girl was absolutely inexcusable.

The father of missing teenager Bernadette Walker has pleaded not guilty to the murder of his daughter, a court has heard.

A father has today denied murdering his teenage daughter who has been missing for more than six months.
Bernadette Walker, 17, from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, remains unaccounted for since she was reported missing in July last year.
Her father, Scott, pleaded not guilty to her murder during a virtual hearing at St Albans Crown Court on Friday, a court official said.
He is jointly charged, together with his 38-year-old wife Sarah, with two counts of perverting the course of justice.
