Ava and Liam were the two most popular baby names of the year at Geisinger hospitals, Geisinger Health System announced Thursday.
Liam climbed up one spot in 2020, beating out Noah to take the No. 1 spot for boys, while Ava passed Emma, Olivia, Harper, Charlotte and Amelia to take the No. 1 spot for girls.
The health system said it delivered 4,945 babies as of Dec. 21, and that the rankings were based on names selected at five hospitals in Pennsylvania.
Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Twp. delivered 1,749 babies.
The top six girlsâ names at that hospital were: Ava, Sophia, Madison, Ella, Luna and Harper.
