LCSS proposed to tackle traffic congestion at a Ballina national school Published: Saturday, 13 February 2021 12:39
A low cost safety scheme will look to tackle congestion problems at Breaffy National School in Ballina.
That’s according to local councillor John O’Hara who raised the issue at a recent Municipal District meeting.
The cllr says that congestion on route to the school from the Bonniconlon/Ardnaree road was bad before the pandemic, but this has worsened with fewer pupils using the bus service.
Even before the outbreak of Covid-19 school goers and Ballina commuters could be held in traffic at the location for up to 30 minutes.
