The San Joaquin County Emergency Medical Services Agency reported Friday afternoon that the county s seven hospitals are operating at 153% of licensed bed capacity. The county also reported six patient deaths from COVID-19.
Of the county’s 821 hospital beds in use, 296 (36%) are occupied by COVID-19 patients, and of the county’s 151 ICU beds in use, 76 (50%) are occupied by COVID-19 patients. All seven county hospitals are at capacity or are in surge capacity in their ICU, with Adventist Health Lodi Memorial at 190%, San Joaquin General Hospital at 175% of capacity, Kaiser Foundation Hospital Manteca at 167% and 160%.
