PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Secretariat recently released the 2020 attendance details of lawmakers and it seems several lawmakers didn t actually bother attending the assembly sessions.
Among the absentees was Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, who only attended one session throughout the year.
He was absent for all 48 other sessions, according to the attendance log.
PTI MPA Mohammad Ali Tarkai, too, only attended one session. The leader of the opposition took 37 days off.
Hamira Khatun, a female member of Jamaat-e-Islami, attended all 49 sessions with 100% attendance.
PM Imran Khan inaugurates Peshawar Institute of Cardiology

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday inaugurated the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology, a 260-bed state-of-the-art cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery and treatment facility.
The Peshawar Institute of Cardiology is equipped with six catheterization laboratories and as many operation theaters and foreign-trained faculty.
It will have the capacity to treat 2,500 to 3,000 heart surgery patients every year.
While speaking at the Inaugural Ceremony, the prime minister said that the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology will provide quality medical treatment to heart patients in the region.
The prime minister said that the poor people who cannot afford treatment of heart diseases at private hospitals will now have the best medical facilities at the Cardiac Institute.

GHALLANAI: Head of the 30-member Khyber Jirga and former lawmaker Haji Shahji Gul on Sunday said that the boundary dispute between the Bajaur and Mohmand tribal districts would be resolved soon after both the parties produced the proofs of their claims.
Talking to media at Mamad Gat here, he said that no discrimination would be committed with anyone and this longstanding issue of boundary demarcation would be settled amicably between the people of two districts.
Former senator Abdur Rahman Faqir, Assistant Commissioner, Mohmand, Hamid Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner, Bajaur, Ajam Khan and other elders were present on the occasion.
