Elizabeth Dale Rodgers Mitchell

Thursday, December 17, 2020 9:39 am Elizabeth Dale Rodgers Mitchell, known to her friends as Bettye, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020.  She was 94 years young. Bettye grew up in Blytheville, Ark., and left at the age of 18 to marry her husband of 66 years, Jack Mitchell, during World War II.  She and Jack lived many places throughout their marriage, including Illinois, Arkansas, Kansas and Tennessee.  Bettye made dear friends everywhere she lived. She was a woman who loved people, loved a good book, and loved God. She was a natural entertainer, and her house was always the one where everyone felt at home. She was quick with an invitation and there was always room for one more.

Teddie Lee (Ted) Phipps

  Teddie Lee (Ted) Phipps, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, died Saturday December 12 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 66 after a brief illness. He was born on September 3, 1954 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of late Herman and Margaret Naomi Patton Phipps. Growing up in Michigan, Ted was employed by General Motors for 30 years, where he retired from the Corvette division in Bowling Green, KY. After retiring in 2002, he found another career in the security business in Tennessee, working at Gaylord, Murray Guard, and at West Tennessee Healthcare North Hospital. Ted had a strict work ethic and was respected by all who worked with and for him.

Dave Marks, 63 of Cambridge Dave Marks left his earthly home to live eternally with our Heavenly Father on December 14, 2020. He was born on December 16, 1956 in Cambridge, Ohio. Dave was always a kind, loving, thoughtful husband even when he was not feeling his best. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 25 years, Lynn (Markley/Dragosin) Marks. Dave could not have been a more loving and helpful Father to his daughter, Angie (Joshua) Moore, whom he was so proud of, and was the best Pappy ever to his adored grandchildren, Blake and Lilyan. He was a devoted son and brother who kept his Mom, Doris (Smith) Marks, and his sister, Linda (Robert) Frye, close at heart despite the miles between them. Dave was preceded in death by his Father, whom he is now joyfully reunited with, Robert (Bob) Marks.
