A man has been charged following a pursuit with police on the state’s Mid North Coast today.
Just before 2pm (Saturday 24 April 2021), police received reports of a Peugeot sedan travelling south at excessive speed on the Pacific Highway towards Coffs Harbour.
Officers from Coffs Harbour Traffic and Highway Patrol saw the vehicle travelling above the 110 km/h speed limit and attempted to stop the vehicle near Sapphire Beach.
The Peugeot failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated travelling through Korora before being terminated due to safety concerns.
A short time later, police patrolling the Coffs Harbour CBD saw the Peugeot stopped in heavy traffic outside the police station.
