LISBON The Lisbon school districts is switching to all remote learning from home when classes resume Jan. 4.
Superintendent Joseph Siefke notified parents on Friday that all students will learn from home for the first two weeks of 2021 and return to the classroom on Jan. 19 in an attempt to buy more time against the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
“We know every family will have tough choices ahead as we balance safety during COVID-19 and family gatherings during Christmas and the New Year. We all wish things were easier. In the meantime, we know that Lisbon schools will put the safety of our community first,” he said.
