LISBON Coronavirus cases continue to decline locally, but eight recent deaths have been determined to be related to the pandemic.
The Columbiana County Health Department reported Friday an increase of 123 cases in the past week, which is an average of 17.5 per day. That brings the total accumulative COVID-19 cases to 7,677.
The number is down from the nearly 500 cases in only a week in mid-December and is back below the weekly case numbers from early November when the holiday spike began.
Public information officer Laura Fauss said the eight deaths were added by the Ohio Department of Health this week, but two died on Dec. 31 and the last death was on Jan. 30.
