Delaware’s Annie Coons, wife of U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, is extending her philanthropy wings to Clear Space Theatre as honorary chairperson for its capital campaign.
“I first got to know Clear Space Theatre as a wonderful place for my daughter to go to summer theater camp, where she learned from talented professionals and had an amazing experience. She’s now a theater major in college, showing what an impact it had on her life. Clear Space is now taking its vision to a level that can impact theater-goers and younger people from across Sussex County and our region,” said Coons. “I’m confident it will be a wonderful influence on the lives of many in our community.”
DA Krasner announces arrest, charges for man involved in shooting at Pat s Steaks

The shooting happened on Dec. 27, 2020 at the famous cheesesteak stop in South Philadelphia.
Darius Blalock, 22, of Bear, Delaware, has been arrested and charged with firearms violations and other related charges for his role in the shooting.
Authorities allege that Blalock engaged in an argument with a group of people outside of Pat s Steaks. During the argument, Blalock allegedly fired multiple shots before jumping into a vehicle and fleeing the scene.
No individuals were shot or injured during the incident.
According to DA Krasner, surveillance video and tips from the public helped Philadelphia Police investigators identify Blalock. Blalock, who does not have a concealed weapons licensed valid in either Delaware or Pennsylvania, was apprehended by the Philadelphia Police Department with the help of the New Castle County Police.

One person was killed Friday night after a shooting at an apartment complex in Fox Point, New Castle County police said.
The report of a shooting came in around 9:30 p.m., and officers dispatched to Clifton Park Circle in the apartment community of Village Park at Paladin found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
