Fireworks, festivities and fun during the Fourth of July weekend include Fort Hoodâs annual celebration, a fireworks display in Copperas Cove and the return of a parade in Belton.
Fort Hood has scheduled its Independence Day celebration to be held from 4 to 10 p.m. on July 2 this year.
Fort Hoodâs Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and the USO will host Independence Day festivities on July 2 including a concert and fireworks celebration. There will not be fireworks on July 4; all Fort Hood Independence Day activities, including fireworks, are scheduled for July 2.
Entertainment sponsored by the USO include LOCASH, DJ J. Dayz, Taylor Williamson and Miss America Camille Schrier.
Registration for an adult kickball tournament in Copperas Cove is open through Friday.
The tournament will take place on June 12 in correlation with the fourth annual food truck festival at the Copperas Cove City Park, 1206 W. Ave. B, Copperas Cove.
Registration costs $175 per team and $15 pay at the plate. Registration also includes 10 parking passes, and all teams will play at least two games.

The food truck festival will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. June 12.
The event has an â80s theme and will include various food trucks, beer and wine tents, market vendors, yard games, kid activities, live music by Dysfunkshun Junkshun and more.

COPPERAS COVE â The rides â and the rabbits â are back at Copperas Cove City Park.
The 41st annual Rabbit Fest began with Appreciation Night at City Park on Thursday, and the event filled with music, carnival rides, food and more is continuing through Sunday.
Ross Oliver, Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce president, and Bradi Diaz, Copperas Cove mayor, commenced the event by welcoming visitors and thanking sponsors.
âI want to welcome you to the 41st Rabbit Fest,â Oliver said. âAnd a special thank you because last year we didnât get to have it, so this year has double meaning so, this is the 40th and the 41st.â
