Professional Nursing Association (PNA) General Secretary Anwar Sultana on Tuesday lambasted the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government over non-inclusion of nurses in the coronavirus compensation package.
Terming it as gross injustice, Sultana said, “The non-inclusion of nurses from the government s compensation package meant for deceased frontline healthcare workers battling coronavirus berates the selfless sacrifices made by the paramedics.”

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to implement the National Command and Operations Centre’s decision to lockdown the country from May 8-16 to ensure safety of the public from the prevailing third wave of coronavirus during the forthcoming Eid holidays.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Provincial Task Force on Covid-19 with K-P Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in the chair.
Discussions pertaining to countering the third wave of coronavirus and the decision to implement a strict lockdown were reviewed in all respects.

ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday commended the revamp of Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) in Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
“Khyber Teaching Hospital has been totally revamped and modernised after a lot of effort,” the premier said on his official Twitter handle.
He also congratulated the KTH Board and management for their efforts in the restoration process.
“It is easy to build a new state-of-the-art hospital; but very difficult to fix our existing government hospitals,” the prime minister maintained.
