Former Dutch pony team rider Micky Schelstraete has said goodbye to her junior rider s horse, Grand-Charmeur. The gelding has been sold to Florida, U.S.A.
Grand-Charmeur is a 10-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Apache out of Proza (by Cocktail). He is bred by Mr. Heeren.

The horse was originally owned by Ad Valk, but Micky s parents Luc and Jonna Schelstraete acquired an ownership share in the bright bay when he was 4.
Under Jonna Schelstraete, the bright bay gelding placed fifth at the 2017 Pavo Cup Finals. They also competed at the CDI Compiegne in the 6-year old tests.

US dressage rider Steffan Peters has ridden to a remarkable 16th consecutive win on Suppenkasper, taking out the Grand Prix CDI4 for Special at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida, on Thursday.
Peters and Suppenkasper, a 2008 KWPN gelding by Spielberg, concluded their Grand Prix performance with a 76.761% in the Grand Prix CDI4 for Special.
Canada’s Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu on All In, Brittany Fraser and Marc-Andre Beaulieu’s 2005 KWPN gelding by Tango, edged into the second-place position after a strong performance, on 71.891%. Third place was awarded to the USA’s Katherine Bateson Chandler and Alcazar, Jane Forbes Clark’s 2005 KWPN gelding by Contango, with 70.913%.
Adrienne Lyle, 36, represented the USA at the London Olympics in 2012 and the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in 2014, both riding the Weltmeyer son Wizard. After a two year break from the top of the sport following Wizard’s retirement in 2015, she then went on to ride the 2018 WEG in Tryon and at the 2019 World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Salvino.
Her current top horse is the 14-year-old Sandro Hit stallion Salvino, with whom she finished seventh at the World Cup Final in 2019, having helped the USA win team silver at WEG the year before. Also competing at international grand prix level is the 13-year-old Rousseau gelding Harmony’s Duval, with whom she got 2021 off to a good start with wins in the grand prix and grand prix special at the opening CDI3 of the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington.
