PHCC: Over 25,000 fans tested during FIFA Club World Cup competitions

The Peninsula Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has successfully completed the spectators screening project for those who attended the FIFA Club World Cup, under the guidance of the Managing Director, Dr. Mariam Ali Abdul Malik. It complemented the success achieved in managing the same project at the conclusion of H H the Amir Cup and AFC Finals 2020, following the methodology and the firm system starting from Project Strategic Planning to Operational Implementation Phase, said PHCC in a statement yesterday.  PHCC, in partnership with Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), supported Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SCDL) in hosting the FIFA Club World Cup as per the new sports protocols, which were suited to the world’s COVID-19 current phase.

Sensory rooms are part of a wider initiative by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) to ensure that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is accessible to all fans, regardless of their disability. Similar sensory rooms have been set up in the past at Al Janoub and Khalifa International stadiums, two venues which will host matches during Qatar 2022. Volunteers reflect Qatar s diversity at FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020

(MENAFN - Gulf Times) More than 1,500 volunteers from across Qatar were recently recruited to support the FIFA Club World Cup 2020 Local Organising Committee as the county delivered another successful edition of the tournament. Working within strict Covid-19 safety protocols, volunteers played a critical role in delivering a safe and enjoyable tournament, during which a limited number of fans returned to the stands at Education City and Ahmad Bin Ali stadiums and six teams representing five confederations traveled to Qatar to compete across seven matches. The volunteers were divided across 13 different functions, including more than 100 volunteers being dedicated to the ticketing centre where fans underwent a Covid-19 test prior to receiving their match tickets.
