Ajmal Foundation case: AIUDF to take action against Himanta, Pijush

Guwahati: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Friday urged the Assam home secretary to lodge a case against state ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma and Pijush Hazarika.
Earlier, Sarma had alleged that the Ajmal Foundation owned by AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal receives funds from NGOs that have links with Pakistan-based terrorist groups.
AIUDF demanded the immediate withdrawal of the two ministers from the ministry.
Hojai-based NGO receiving funds from terror-linked organisation, alleges Legal Rights Observatory

Guwahati: RSS-affiliated Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) has alleged that Hojai-based NGO in Assam received money from an organisation having terror links on Thursday.
The LRO alleged that Hojai-based Anfar Foundation received Rs 8 crore from the Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW).
The LRO alleged that the bank accounts of the IRW were confiscated in countries of the European Union due to alleged terror activities.
