Lisa Slobodzian named Ward Two councilman

She was sworn in by Mayor Mike Snider. BY D’ARCY PATRICK EGAN After a 32-year career with the National Park Service’s Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Port Clinton native Lisa Slobodzian, 55, has decided she isn’t ready for full retirement just yet. A member of the Port Clinton High School’s Class of 1983, Slobodzian recently accepted an appointment by the Ottawa County Republican Party to fill the vacant Ward Two term on Port Clinton City Council. She replaces Brian Hild, who resigned on Monday, Dec. 7, after deciding to move his family out of Ward Two.

The ranger repeatedly asks for him to put his hands behind his back as House raises his hands and at times folds them in front of his chest while still calling for help. House, who said he was unarmed, eventually sits down as another ranger arrives and places him in handcuffs. House was cited for interfering with agency functions, concealing his identity and being off trail, KOB-TV reported. House did not return messages from The Associated Press.
