LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. UPDATE (10:45 p.m.): The Loudon County Sheriff s Office said that a 17-year-old male was shot numerous times Thursday afternoon. They said that a 15-year-old male was identified as the shooting suspect and was taken into custody.
The 17-year-old went through surgery for multiple gunshot wounds, officials said. The suspect was still in custody and officials were investigating.
Police said that the names of both the victim and the suspect were being withheld since they are both juveniles.

Loudoun County, VA (April 16, 2021)- The 50th session of Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) graduated on Friday reaching another milestone in the regionally and nationally recognized program. CIT helps prepare law enforcement officers, on patrol, in the Adult Detention Center (ADC), and emergency dispatchers to calmly and effectively communicate with citizens experiencing a behavioral crisis. The Loudoun County Sheriff s Office (LCSO) has trained over 700 personnel from the local, state, and federal level, as well as private organizations.
The training includes classroom instruction and role play exercises which enable law enforcement personnel to gain a better understanding of the experience of living with serious mental illnesses.

LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. The Loudon County Sheriff s Office is assisting the Tennessee Highway Patrol after an overturned tractor-trailer closed the Northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 321 Tuesday morning.
Around 9:49 a.m., TDOT reported a multivehicle crash at Tellico Parkway and informed that the area was closed to Westbound traffic. Later at 9:55 a.m., officials reported debris on the roadway and that the Eastbound left lane and the left shoulder were blocked

LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. A Loudon County Sheriff s deputy and his family are okay after losing their home in a fire Monday afternoon.
According to LCSO, the fire started around 2:30 p.m. as Palmer was headed back home to get ready for his shift at the department. Palmer, his wife and two boys are unharmed, but they lost everything to the flames.
