Dry start to the week
Happy Sunday Central Oregon!
The chance for rain has come and gone for now.
Today s gusty winds will start to die down as we get into the later evening hours. We should start to see our temperatures this evening drop down below freezing as well as we begin to feel the effects of a week cold front coming in.
While this front has a chance to bring us some rain, it s unlikely it will make it past the crest of the Cascades, but I won t rule out a quick stray shower in the part of the region to the north of Redmond.
Chances for rain and snow to start the week
Happy Sunday, Central Oregon!
Tough to tell, but we actually had the remnants of weather system pass through the area today, but without much precipitation.
The mountains got some snow this morning, but most other spots stayed dry (except for a bit of light snow in Bend, even hail in spots).
That could change tonight, as we expect this system to rebound and head back our way, giving us a chance for snow.
We re going to enter a pattern over the next three days where we see three different weather systems push each other out of our area.
Plenty of sunshine for the week ahead
Happy Sunday Central Oregon!
Hard to believe we were just cleaning up after a winter storm.
Highs neared 60 today and there was hardly a cloud in the sky for most of our cities today. Yet the mountains still stayed around freezing for a nice bluebird powder day.
This should be the norm for the next week; blue skies, calm winds and above average temperatures.
We were looking at a system bringing us some mountain snow on Mountain night, but now it looks like our next chance for snow won t be until Friday evening.
