A 35-year-old man is charged in connection with a hit-and-run in central Labrador.
Ryan Nuke, 26, was found deceased on Route 520. which connects Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Sheshatshiu, on Aug. 13, 2020.

Valance Job Oliver, a man well known for community activities in central Labrador that included playing Santa Claus, was sentenced Thursday to 15 months in jail for possessing child pornography.

Valance Job Oliver, a man well known for community activities in central Labrador that included playing Santa Claus, was sentenced Thursday to 15 months in jail for possessing child pornography.
Judge Rolf Pritchard issued the sentence during a hearing at provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Air ambulance advocacy group wants medevac stationed in central N.L.
The call from Eugene Nippard, chair of Air Ambulance Medical Transport Advocacy Group, comes after 73-year-old Clifford Russell spent nearly 30 hours lying on an exam table at a community nursing station waiting for a medivac.
