Today will mark the first time Newfoundland and Labrador will administer a vaccine to help fight COVID-19. The fist shipment of Pfizer’s vaccine arrived in St. John’s yesterday and with it comes more info on how the provincial government will handle distribution.
According to NTV’s Kelly-Ann Roberts, the vaccine itself will be distributed from the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, with additional administration sites planned for Gander, Corner Brook, Labrador City/Wabush and Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
In terms of who will be receiving this first round of inoculations, the priority list is as follows:
