Malnutrition: Stakeholders roll out action plan in Enugu

Daily Post Nigeria Published A 5-day training workshop for stakeholders in nutrition and maternity issues has ended in Enugu with stakeholders commending the Enugu State Government for its current efforts towards addressing malnutrition. The training was organized for the media, civil society groups and health workers by the Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria, (CS-SUNN). In a communique issued after the meeting, they identified malnutrition and food insecurity as “a critical development issue that has held-back millions of individuals, families and countries from achieving their full potentials.” The objectives of the training were “to develop key messages on Breast Milk Substitutes (BMS) CODE, Right to Food, Maternity Protection and Food Fortification.
