VICTORIA, B.C. – The province has added another $7.5 million to the Community Emergency Preparedness Fund (CEPF), meaning more funding for communities and local governments.
Across the province, 48 communities will receive a share of $1.7 million through the Emergency Support Services (ESS) stream. This will target projects that use volunteer recruitment, retention and training, and the purchase of ESS equipment to build local emergence management.
In the Peace Region, Taylor will receive $19,000 for Reception Centre Equipment and Training, and the Improvement and Modernization Project in West Moberly First Nations will receive $25,000.
