Organizers set for 4th annual Dancing With Show Me Stars
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) The stars are aligning in southeast Missouri for an annual event that keeps fingers snapping and toes tapping.
The 4th annual Dancing With Show Me Stars invites local celebrities and dancers to come out and show off their moves for a good cause. Organized by the Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri (CPSEMO), the event s proceeds go toward funding assistance programs.
Executive director Dr. Melissa Stickel says the winner, or star , chooses the CPSEMO program that receives the funds. But this year, Dr. Stickel says funds will go back to the group s new building, which once housed the city s police department. The building cost $2,000,000 to acquire and renovate, Dr. Stickel says.
