CFAC hosts Lebanese-born artist s work through January

Lebanese-born artist Marwan Nahle, currently living in Manila, is exhibiting some of his recent artwork at the Community Fine Arts Center, January 5 - 30. This work titled Angelina represents one of the angels and guardians that frequently appear in Nahle s paintings.
A new exhibit, Realm of the Mystic, opened at the Community Fine Arts Center Tuesday featuring the work of Marwan Nahle, a combination of paintings and mixed media works he calls recycled art.
Marwan Nahle is a Lebanese-born painter and multi-media artist who has lived and worked internationally for the past 30 years. He has exhibited his work in Lebanon as well as France, Germany and several U.S. states and other foreign countries. He has his work in museums in Lebanon and Utah and he is currently living in Manila, Utah.

Local photographers can enter the Sweetwater Photo Open that will hang in Sweetwater County Library in Green River in January and February. Open to all subjects such as landscapes, people and animals, such as this one by Debora Soule.
Local photographers have an opportunity to display their creative work at the Sweetwater County Library in Green River. The Sweetwater Photo Open is an annual event hosted by the Sweetwater County Library System and is scheduled for January and February.
The exhibit will open Jan. 12 and be on display through Feb. 27. The deadline to enter is Jan. 9 at 4 p.m.

He has exhibited his work in Lebanon as well as France, New York, California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Minnesota, Hawaii, Switzerland, Canary Islands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Jordan, U.A.E, Greece, and Australia. He has his work in museums in Lebanon & Utah. He is currently living in Manila, Utah.
Nahle’s paintings represent his lifelong physical and spiritual journey, combining forms and landscapes from his world travels into ethereal and mystical movements. The misty landscapes, and graceful, abstracted figures appear to emerge from the push and pull of the paint. Angels and guardians appear often in his compositions.
