Sumter County investigators discovered the drugs a day apart while issuing search warrants

Sumter, SC (WOLO) The Sumter County Sheriff’s Department have seized drugs and thousands of dollars after executing search warrants during two separate drug busts.
Sumter County investigators say during the incidents just a day apart, they were able to seize methhamphetamines, heroin and marijuana.
While searching a motel room in the 1700 block of North Main Street July 12th, they seized 10 grams of meth worth $500 dollars, around 1.5 fluid ounces of heroin worth more than $6,500 dollars.

Sumter Co., SC (WOLO) The Sumter County Sheriff’s Department is hoping you can help them locate 14 year old Ja’Asia Chandler who has not been seen since Monday May 10, 2021. Authorities say Chandler suffers from Schizophrenia and does not have needed medication.
Deputies say Chandler, who is described as about 5’8 and weighing 140 pounds was last seen along Rogers Avenue wearing a red shirt, black biker shorts, a pink and black bonnet and multi colored crocs.

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The search continues for a Sumter County teen who hasnât been seen since the day after Christmas.
Jackson âBrentâ Garcia was last seen at a relativeâs house on Ithica Drive. The Sumter County Sheriffâs Department said he could be in danger based on the amount of time heâs been missing.
Garciaâs mother, Angel Brown, says she hasnât seen her 18-year-old son since Christmas day. She said he was last seen at his cousinsâ house the day after Christmas and their family has been searching for answers.

SUMTER, S.C. One person is dead after a fire at a Sumter home on Tuesday evening.
According to Division Chief Joey Duggan with the Sumter Fire Department, a double-wide mobile home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene in the 3000 block of Barfield Circle.
The call had come into the fire department around 7 p.m. and the caller told dispatchers they thought someone might be inside, according to Duggan.
The fire was brought under control around 9 p.m.
