The International Automobile Federation (FIA) on Thursday rejected Red Bull’s request, which considered the penalty imposed on Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton insufficient after his collision with Max Verstappen at the British Grand Prix.
The crash on the first lap at Silverstone cost the Dutch Red Bull driver the retirement after Hamilton won. Verstappen, currently leader of the world championship, had to go to the hospital the same day for medical examinations, which had been reassuring.
