I often point out how little we as Christians and social conservatives are respected in Canadian society. It’s as if we are not even citizens and our points of view are so hideous it is taken for granted we deserve to be crushed whenever we articulate our crazy ideas.
It is true we are a minority in Canada but then again we live under a regime that spends a good portion of its energy and our tax dollars propping up all kinds of minorities far smaller than ours.

You released the “Tyranny Of Either/Or” music video on International Transgender Day of Visibility. Your videos are quite thought-provoking. Did this video come together in similar ways to “Surveillance Capitalism”?
For “The Tyranny Of Either/Or,” I worked with Taina Asili and Gaetano Vaccaro, who are dear friends of mine. Taina produced my last record,
she/her/they/them, and she runs an Afro-Latin rock revolutionary social justice band out of Albany, New York, and they do video work together. They’ve produced a series of really amazing music video documentaries highlighting the stories and work of women artists of color.

A new ‘Queer as Folk’ is coming to Peacock

After a couple years of rumbling maybes, there’s a new Queer as Folk on the way, with an eight-episode, straight-to-series order from NBC’s streaming service Peacock. The “reimagining” is from Little America creator Stephen Dunn, who’ll set the update among a diverse group of queer friends in New Orleans. (The original UK series was set in Manchester, the U.S. version in Pittsburgh). We’re hopeful that this iteration will take that diversity seriously, because unlike the first wave of LGBT scripted dramas for television the UK and American QaF included that were almost entirely centered on white, cisgender characters, we now live with a TV landscape that includes a revived L Word and Pose, programs that deliver a much more inclusive vision of the queer family.

President Joe Biden pledged his support for transgender Americans during his address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, telling members of the community he’s standing by them at a time when they face a barrage of attacks by GOP-led state legislatures.
“I also hope Congress will get to my desk the Equality Act to protect LGBTQ Americans. To all transgender Americans watching at home especially young people, who are so brave I want you to know your president has your back,” Biden said during his address.
