Washington signs Sammis Reyes, TE prospect Washington today announced it had signed developmental tight end prospect, Sammis Reyes, to a contract in advance of the NFL draft. Reyes worked out at the Florida Gators’ Pro Day a couple of weeks ago and made an impression with his ridiculous athleticism. Originally from Chile, Reyes came to the US to try to make it in the NBA, and ended up playing basketball at Tulane. Though his pro basketball dreams didn’t come true, his near ideal build and athleticism appeared to be a good fit for the NFL. Reyes was on the path to being placed as one of the player in the NFL’s International Pathway Program, and it appears Washington snatched him before he could be assigned elsewhere.

Heck, there are mock drafts that have star receivers falling right into New England’s laps at No. 15.
