Microsoft is back with a rare Friday preview build of Windows 10 for Insiders in the Dev Channel. Today s build is 21382 and is packing a handful of minor changes and enhancements focused on HDR support, Device Manager, and more. Here s the feature and fixes changelog:
HDR mode changes the behavior of some creative and artistic apps that use International Color Consortium (ICC) display color profiles, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom Classic, and CorelDraw (amongst others). Bringing HDR support to color managed apps
HDR mode changes the behavior of some creative and artistic apps that use International Color Consortium (ICC) display color profiles, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom Classic, and CorelDraw (amongst others). In the past, these apps were limited to targeting the sRGB color gamut.
We have added a new feature that lets these apps get accurate color and access the full gamut of your HDR display. To turn this feature on, close your application, right-click the app’s icon and click in Properties > Compatibility tab and then under Settings select “Use legacy display ICC color management”. This flag only has an effect in HDR mode.

New Windows 10 build is out
Microsoft has just released Windows 10 build 21382 for Windows Insiders in the Dev channel, and the biggest change in this update is the introduction of HDR support for color managed apps.
Needless to say, software like Adobe Photoshop is the one to benefit from this update, with Microsoft explaining that it has added a new option in the Compatibility tab of each process on Windows 10.

Aultrin Vijay (AV): First of all, please tell us a bit about your association with organisations such as ISO and ICC.
Kulakkada Pradeep (KP): ISO consists of more than 165 associate members and India is also a part of it. And ISO/TC 130 deals with standards for the graphic arts industry. It is a working group intended to find new formulations, technologies and advancements to improve the quality of print. It is mostly associated with colour, technology and photography. We are also part of the same committee in International Color Consortium (ICC).
