According to a letter by the acting Director-General of the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA), Kello Harsama to the Commissioner of Customs in the Kenya Revenue Authority, the ban has been put in place after a survey on maize from Uganda and Tanzania showed it was not fit for human consumption.

Accordingly, ICRISAT will undertake capacity building initiatives, water harvesting, recording of hydrological parameters and crop productivity in addition to monitoring land-use as well as land-cover through remote sensing and GIS in 12 districts of Odisha, the institute announced on Wednesday.

IFDC Holds Kickoff Meeting for the Integrated Seed Sector Development in the Sahel (ISSD/Sahel) Project IFDC Press Release For Immediate Release February 19, 2021– On February 17, IFDC launched its ISSD/Sahel project for Mali and Niger. The project was initiated with a kickoff ceremony, which took place in Niger and virtually. The ceremony featured attendees from 12 countries.
