Sacramento police officer accused of filing false report due appears in court via Zoom

May 10 One of two Sacramento police officers arrested last week made a Zoom appearance Monday afternoon in Sacramento Superior Court, but did not enter a plea.
Alexa Palubicki, 26, appeared briefly via in a hearing inside the Sacramento County Main Jail and agreed to appear again June 24.
Palubicki faces two counts of filing a false police report in connection with the July 11, 2020, arrest of a motorist who was found to have a loaded handgun in a backpack inside his car.

The signatures have all been verified and the California Secretary of State says there are more than enough valid signatures to trigger a recall election of Gov. Gavin Newsom.

They deported Luis Enrique Monroy Bracamontes, 37, a number of times, but he came back again and again until he finally murdered two Northern California sheriff’s deputies. On Tuesday, his murder trial began with him cursing out a partner of one of the slain officers, calling him a “coward” because he was able to escape the heavy gunfire.
Bracamontes has repeatedly admitted to murdering two deputies in court hearings, and at the start of his trial Tuesday his own lawyer essentially convicted the illegal immigrant of killing Sacramento sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer sheriff’s Deputy Michael Davis Jr. in a daylong spree of violence that started in a Motel 6 parking lot near Arden Fair Mall.

California Secretary of State Shirley Weber announced on April 26 that over 1.6 million valid voter signatures were submitted on petitions seeking to recall Governor Gavin Newsom, making it all but certain that a recall election will be held toward the end of this year.
