Santander AM expands alts offering with trade finance fund Spanish group launches Luxembourg-domiciled vehicle to captialise on specialist investment area while offering weekly liquidity. 1 June, 2021 at 10:43 Santander Asset Management has broadened its alternative investment expertise with its first trade finance fund, the Madrid-headquartered group has announced. The Luxembourg-domiciled Santander Trade Finance Real Economy fund I will be seeded with €25m from Banco Santander and is aimed at institutional investors such as pension funds, insurers and sovereign wealth funds. Santander said the new fund is designed to offer an alternative to the current low-interest-rate and low-return environment, while offering a diversifier for existing portfolios.
