A victim wounded during the mass shooting at a light rail yard in California died Wednesday night, bringing the death toll from the violent attack to nine.
The gunman was accused of killing eight people at the San Jose Railroad, then shooting himself, allegedly raping his ex-girlfriend and easily aroused anger
Samuel Cassidy, 57, was an employee at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), which operated the rail yard where he killed eight people, police said.
Multiple victims were also wounded in the attack at the train maintenance compound in San Jose, just south of San Francisco, which has once again shone a spotlight on the country's raging gun control debate.
