Dead Body Found Southeast Of Santa Clarita
Los Angeles County Homicide detectives are investigating a dead body that was found southeast of Santa Clarita Monday evening.
Around 7 p.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a dead body east of Bear Divide and Sand Canyon Road, said Lt. Jim Royal, for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Homicide detectives are responding to the location to take over the investigation, according to officials.
The person has not been identified as of 9 p.m. Monday and no cause of death is known, according officials.

Vehicle Fire Blocks Lanes On Northbound 14 Freeway In Santa Clarita
A vehicle fire temporarily blocked lanes of the northbound 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita Monday night.
Around 8:50 p.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames on the northbound 14 Freeway near Golden Valley Road, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident logs.
A Hyundai Sonata’s engine had caught fire, according to CHP officials.
The No. 3 and No. 4 lanes of the northbound freeway were temporarily blocked as a result of the fire.
No injuries have been reported as of Monday night.

Overturned Vehicle Impacts Northbound 14 Freeway Traffic In Santa Clarita, No Injuries Reported
An overturned vehicle impacted northbound 14 freeway traffic in Santa Clarita Monday afternoon.
Just after 2 p.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision with persons possibly trapped on the northbound 14 Freeway near Soledad Canyon Road, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“There were reports of a utility truck colliding into a center divider,” Lopez said.
Three occupants were able to exit the vehicle, and no persons were transported to the hospital according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
As a result of the 14 Freeway crash, the HOV and No.1 lanes were temporarily blocked, according to CHP logs.
