Despite what appears to be a steady decline in coronavirus transmission, officials say the virus is still circulating at high levels and poses a risk to residents.
The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District reported 860 new coronavirus cases Thursday 152 fewer than the previous day. The seven-day rolling average decreased slightly to 1,335 from 1,463 on Wednesday.
On Thursday, 1,081 people were hospitalized in Bexar County for COVID-19, a decrease from 1,127 the day before.
