CHULA VISTA, Calif. Chula Vista police executed a search warrant Friday evening at the Chula Vista home of Larry Millete, husband of missing mother Maya Millete.
Police appeared to be searching a vehicle on the property and a police dog was seen entering the home as well. We re trying to maintain the integrity of the investigation, Lt. Frank Giaime said, when pressed about any specific details of the search warrant.
Detectives arrived with the investigative court order in hand at the Millete at about 4:30 p.m., according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
CHULA VISTA (KUSI) – Police served another search warrant at the home of a missing Chula Vista mother of three Friday, four months to the day after her disappearance.

CVPD spokesman Lt. Frank Giaime declined to disclose what prompted the new search of the woman’s residence in the 2400 block of Paseo Los Gatos, near Mount San Miguel Park in the eastern reaches of the South Bay city.
Millete’s family reported her missing Jan. 10, three days after the last known sighting of her. Last Saturday, her loved ones celebrated her 40th birthday without her.
The repeat offenders are Douglas Badger and Merle Wakefield.
On Monday a hearing is scheduled for wakefield’s proposed location.

The Department of State Hospitals recently recommended both men be housed in a supervised home on Horizon Hills Drive in the Mt. Helix neighborhood.
Badger, 78, was convicted of sexual assaults dating back to the 1970s, mostly victimizing male hitchhikers.
Wakefield, 64, was convicted of sexual assaults dating back to the 1980s, according to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.

Maya ‘May’ Millete went missing in January from her family home in Chula Vista
Police, who initially served a search warrant at Millete’s home Jan. 23, have declined to publicly disclose what they have learned about her disappearance, citing concerns about compromising the investigation.
Millete, a civilian who works as a contract specialist with the Navy, was last seen by her husband Jan. 7, a Thursday. Larry Millete told his wife’s family she locked herself in a room after the couple had an argument, according to her sister, Maricris Drouaillet.

Unable to contact Millete, her brother went to her home Jan. 8. He knocked on the bedroom door but there was no response. Her father tried again the next day, but when he opened the door, Millete was not there, though her car was parked outside their home.
