SAN FRANCISCO - Hing Yiu Chung lives in a racially diverse San Francisco neighborhood hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. While vaccines have been difficult to come by, the 69-year-old got one by showing proof she lives where she does.
She had to wait in line for two hours with other seniors, some who were disabled or leaning on canes, for a chance at a couple hundred shots available each day through a local public health clinic in the Bayview neighborhood.

Kathy Nelsen is director of Kabuki Springs and Spa in Japantown in San Francisco. The spa is open for massages but closed for baths the service that Kabuki is known for. Garbage truck catches fire in S.F. s Mission District

A Recology garbage truck caught fire Friday in San Francisco’s Mission District.
Videos posted to the Citizen app by nearby onlookers showed plumes of smoke billowing from the truck, which was stopped on a highway overpass.
Representatives from the San Francisco Fire Department reported the fire caused no injuries.
Drivers were advised to expect delays at the northbound Highway 101 off ramp, just south of Cesar Chavez street.
