Drugs and handgun found inside lookalike police car
Two men were arrested after investigators pulled them over in a lookalike police cruiser in Redding.

REDDING, Calif. – Investigators with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office found drugs and a handgun inside an imposter police car in Redding.
Investigators were driving on Eastside Road in Redding, when they noticed a black car with white doors, resembling a law enforcement vehicle.
The driver was pulled over for not having a front license plate. However, once the vehicle came to a stop, two of the three people inside bailed out and ran.
The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed in a Christmas Eve officer-involved shooting.

UPDATE: 8:39 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 - The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed in a Christmas Eve officer-involved shooting.
A Deputy Coroner Investigator identified the woman as 39-year-old Tara Rae Liubakka, of Redding.
Action News Now is working to learn more. -
REDDING, Calif. – Investigators are still not commenting about an officer-involved shooting that happened on Christmas Eve because the case is still ongoing.
The incident started at a home near Irwin Road, around 7 p.m. on Thursday. Police say they received reports of shots fire and found a man with two gunshot wounds.

ANDERSON, Calif. – An Anderson man was arrested after police said he tried to assault a man near the All Stars Sports Bar Wednesday morning.
Around 10 a.m. Anderson Police contacted a 62-year-old victim who reported Wyatt Hoban, had picked up a large wooden object and attempted to strike him with it.
The victim said the object missed him but struck his vehicle causing $1,000 worth of damage. Before police arrived, Hoban left the scene.
