Share this article Hermès has dropped three versions of its equestrian-inspired Arceau watch featuring the brand’s silk scarf Space Derby design painted onto their dials. Designed by illustrator and film director Ugo Bienvenu, Space Derby was inspired by 20th Century American comic book superheroes and depicts a fantastical chariot race through the cosmos, against a backdrop of unfamiliar planets and constellations. The image is painted onto the dials and built-up in layers before being kiln-dried. The Arceau Space Derby is offered in three distinct references; two 41mm 18k white gold automatics with aventurine dials, which are limited to 12 pieces each and a 38mm 18k white gold moonphase with pink opaline dial and a diamond-set bezel, which is limited to 24 pieces.
