Sabah wants closer ties with China as state recovers post-Covid-19

Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan. KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government wants to have a closer working relationship with the China government as the state looks to rebuild its economy and revamp its agriculture industry. In his speech at the Consulate General of China s office here Saturday (Dec 19), Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said Sabah is in a dire need to lift itself economically after a disastrous year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We have so much to catch up, but we are lucky to have the support of China to guide and helping us achieve our ambition, he said.
