Man shot while driving in Southcrest

Print A man was critically wounded after being shot while driving in the Southcrest neighborhood Saturday morning, San Diego police said. The victim, 62, was driving a silver Acura west on Alpha Street near 38th Street about 5:10 a.m. when he was shot multiple times, police said. The car then crashed into a basketball court next to Cesar Chavez Elementary School. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police had no information about the shooter.
